A Beautiiful Day In Montreal's Botanical Garden
Last Wednesday my owner, Montreal's portrait photographer Hera Bell and his photography buddy Francis have decided to go to Montreal's Botanical Garden.
It was such a beautiful sunny day.
Once they arrived there they both went to their own photography mission. I was kept throughout this time in Hera's bag.
Hera met Jonathan while she was trying to find out how to get to the Japanese Garden section. They were both looking for how to get there. Jonathan had just returned from Japan. He studied and worked there. They talked about cultures. Jonathan wrote Hera's name in Japanese on a piece of paper.
Then Frank found his way to join them. That's where Hera took me out of his bag and admired through me the vista in front of them.
Later on I witnessed for the very first time Montreal's Olympic Stadium from a distance. What an interesting looking structure this was.
I like to be taken out of Hera's bag and see more often what she is up to. But she doesn't. Sigh.... I guess I have to learn how to be content with my situation. I could have ended up in a display somewhere in her house and never see the daylight for the rest of my existence.
I am told I will be going to a very special adventure soon. I am so thrilled that I can't sleep at nights.
Till then tata... Be well.

Abandoned Secret Location With A Mission
Today Hera and her 2 female photographer friends ventured to photograph an abandoned secret location which was an hour drive from the city. I was off course being transported in Hera's bag.
I felt like James Bond... I am not sure how sexy I am, but it felt great being among 3 beautiful ladies.
They arrived there. I was still in her bag. I was listening to the conversations. It seemed quite dangerous. 24 hours cameras everywhere. It is a private property which they will probably never return back. But they were happy that they did go. They were there in an out fast. The GPS even does not find it. It is heavily fenced.
In other words, it was not a great idea to be there. But you know Hera... hmmm.
Broken glass was everywhere. Delapitated burnt rooms.
Amazing to think that this was a boarding school once upon a time.
Hera dared to take me out from her bag. And this what I saw. WOW.
I think abandoned spaces can be very fascinating and scary at the same time.
We were not suppose to be there, but we dared enough...
I guess Hera will share the rest of her shots from this experience at one of her other Blogs.
For now you just have to enjoy my vision.

Time Capsule
Today at lunch time Hera visited her mother and father. I learnt that Mrs. Bell will celebrate her 84th birthday tomorrow.
Hera took me out of her purse to show it to her sister and parents. I felt so important all of a sudden.
As they reminisced old times, I was watching the pictures on the walls of her parent's home. Photos that Hera had photographed and printed.
My eye caught a beautiful baby girl's portrait. I was told that it was of her niece/god child Angelica's portrait shot during Just For Laughs festival some years ago. Hera took this particular photo when Angelica was attentively watching a street show sitting on her dad's shoulders.
Apparently Angelica will turn 18 in May of 2014. "All these birthdays. Oh La La"... This is what Hera said by giggling. "Time goes by so fast." she added.
Time is a funny notion isn't it? One can never stop it. We only realize its importance when we have less of it left to enjoy.
If one could invent a time capsule, wouldn't it be grand to have some actual time travel back and forward?
Until then enjoy life and the moment as if it was your last.
Today my time was fabulous. I was happy.

Ladies And Gentlmen, Let Me Introduce Myself
I am what Hera Bell calls "The Ball".
I was conceived somewhere in an Asian factory like everything you buy these days. Ready to be owned. Longing for a final buffet to rest in.
Few weeks ago I arrived to a far away country called Canada. Although the trip was a bit bumpy, nothing happened to me through this ordeal. In other words I reached my final destination safe and sound and in one piece.
To the contrary of most of my family's faith, I now know that will not go into a buffet display and rest in peace.
My new owner, who I must add is quite an eccentric woman, has decided that I will become her pet. A pet? Is she crazy?
Although I am most excited to the idea of traveling with her, I am also quite puzzled with the idea of where all this can lead us.
I am asked to write about my adventures with her. A slave labour situation.
Between you and me, I think I am the alter ego of this woman. Not her pet. But let her imagine what she will imagine. I have to go along with the ride.
My first outing was few days ago as you already witnessed the result. We were at a very busy garden with tons of screaming kids, and beautiful butterflies around us.
Today I was taken out of my bag, and this is what I saw and I had to register.
I can't personally comment on the final image. But I think it has a message of some sort.

New Projects, New Photographic Adventures, My New Pet by Montreal photographer Hera Bell
You will see and read more often then you think the world seen through my new pet ball...
I am starting a new series with it. "The Ball" will always travel with me and on occasion it will come out of my bag to look at the world around me and tell you all about it from its point of view...
Today's first inauguraltional vision happened yesterday at Montreal's Botanical Garden.
I LOVE my new pet ball. It needs minimum care. And it makes me happy.
Hang in there. You might be amazed what he has to tell you in all its honesty... And yes it is a "HE"... Not a "SHE"...
PS: A good friend joked today and he said, "Hera got balls"... I, at least have a real one for now, yes. It will be well used. And earned it well.:)
